A scarcely seen pair, where one stamp is watermarked (#22a) with the last (or first) letter of "⅃⅃ƎWHTOᗺ" (BOTHWELL backward), while the other is unwatermarked, but is on Bothwell paper (#22ii).
As most pairs from this era (1868), the vertical perforations are fragile, so it must be handled with care. No premium was added over the value of the individual stamps!
