Canada Stamp #7 - Jacques Cartier (1855) 10d
SKU: CAN-0007
Used - Fine to Very Fine - Strong Re-Entry (pos. 52)
(U-F-VF-053)
A strong re-entry that can be confused with the major from position 29 (#7ii). This stamp shows similar doubling marks in "PENCE" and several of the corner values. This position also shows some doubling at the bottom of "CANADA". There is a distinct mark in the outer left portrait oval and stronger doubling of the upper frame line.
It is as such unlisted in the catalogue, who simply acknowledge that more re-entries than the ones listed are known to exist. But its scarcity and value should be very similar to the re-entry from position 29 (#7ii). A superb stamp for an advanced classical Canadian collection and a great item of conversation for re-entry experts!

Used - Extra Fine (Repaired) - White Opaque Paper (#7a)
(U-XF-061)
The stamp has a superb appearance with four extra large balanced margins and on the scarcer white opaque paper (#7a), but the back was expertly repaired because there was a thin in the paper (behind ANA of CANADA). It is nevertheless, one of the most skillful reparations we have ever seen, as it is almost invisible! A good way to acquire a superb looking ten pence Cartier at a reduced price!

Used - Very Fine with Fault
(U-VF-062)
The upper right corner was damaged, then a repaired reconstruction was added, but it still looks better than most faulty copies with a large margined appearance and a quite light four ring numeral cancellation.
