Description

Fujeira is one the seven emirates (or states) which make up the present United Arab Emirates. It is the only one not located on the Persian Gulf; its coast is on the Gulf of Oman. With a landscape that is mainly mountainous instead of desert-like, Fujeira has more rainfall than other emirates. Prior to 1971, these emirates were known as the Trucical States. Stamps of Fujeira date from 1964-1972.
