Set of 4 plate proofs (400 known)

Very scarce complete set of the 1938 Pictorial issue plate proofs, which are all very well described in a footnote inside the catalogue! It includes the 10¢ "Memorial Chamber" (#241P), the 20¢ "Fort Garry" (#243P), the 50¢ "Vancouver Harbour" and the $1 "Château de Ramezay (#245P). As stated in the catalogue, the plate proof of the 13¢ "Halifax Harbour" does not exist, therefore this set is complete.

Only two sheets of 200 stamps were retrieved from the American Bank Note Company archives sales for each stamp, therefore there are only 400 copies that exist! A extremely scarce set with a humongous catalogue value!!!
