Canada Stamp #3-Bremen - Queen Victoria (1851) 12d
Essay printed in Bremen Germany
SKU: CAN-0003-BREMEN
Mint - Very Fine
(M-VF)
This is a very scarce vintage essay / forgery of the twelve pence Queen Victoria that was engraved in Bremen, Germany on period toned paper (without gum). This may be the only way many collectors would be able to afford filling the first page of their album, as even a proof of the ridiculously rare #3 will cost you several grands, let alone the original stamp which is listed for a whopping $150,000 in this condition! There was around only 1,450 copies ever issued of this stamp (the regular #3), so it it is unspeakably rare!!!
