Pair in which the Santa on the left stamp was extraordinarily awarded a medal for his outstanding work... Ok, maybe not quite, as this is in fact a lithographic "doughnut" printing flaw!
PS: This is the very first error we have seen on the 10¢ Christmas stamp from 1973, a lovely variety for the Holidays!
